Blueberry Fields Plein Air

Blueberry Field 11 x 14″ oil on canvas panel by Beth West

This was an interesting experiment for me.  I allowed myself 1 hour to see how far I could get in that time.  The top photo is the result.  The bottom photo is a reference I took in case I wanted to pursue it later.  If you look closely at the sky in the top picture, you can see the actual debris from the field.  The wind was blowing briskly.  Several times it tried to yank my canvas from my hands.  If I decide to paint in windy circumstances on a regular basis, I’ll need to figure out a different way to hold my canvas.
